A lot of kitchen plumbing does not necessarily include drain lines, so typically we put dishwashers under the countertop adjacent to the sink. Oh, and this stuff is like, kind of hard. So it’s probably best if yinz let the professionals do this sort of thing. Okay, no problem. Especially in Pittsburgh, plumbing dye tests are crucial. Like, they won’t even let you sell your house without one. So what is it? Basically it tests how well your home is connected to the sewage system. There’s two types of sewers in our lovely city: a sanitary one, and a mixed one. Each of them only accept certain types of water, for example the sanitary one should accept wash water from home drains but not rain water or anything. So a dye test is important for making sure your home is complying with the proper connection procedures to the sewage system, and usually you would call a plumber to run these tests. Oh and would you look at that, we’re plumbers too (amongst all of the other awesome work we do).

Installing a whole-house water filter can help remove impurities from all of the water in your home, rather than just focusing on particular taps. These filtration systems are installed in the main line so that you can literally drink, bathe and do your laundry in filtered water, if you’re into that sort of thing.
